The Grey Goose has been dressing Greenville’s children since 1981.  My mother, Susan (Betty) Wilson originally opened the store on Cleveland Street as a second career. As a mother, grandmother and widow with a background in manufacturing and fabulous taste, she ventured into the retail market with great success. What a role model! She taught me everything I know about fabrics, style and business.

In 1991, I took over operations due to my mother’s failing health. As her daughter, I have worked in the store since the beginning and even accompanied her on her first trip to market. In 1993, she lost her long battle with breast cancer. She was the heart of the Grey Goose and I keep her legacy alive by continuing to provide our customers with personal service and tasteful styles. She created the Upstate’s benchmark for children’s fine clothing, gifts and accessories and it is an honor to call it my own.
